New Earring Monday ~ weeks 3 & 4

How exciting is this?!
I’m posting my new earrings on time!!!

With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, I decided to dig out my heart collection. Of course, I wasted over an hour searching for the red glass hearts I found in Portland last April.
You see, when I moved from NY to NC, my method of packing up my workbench was to just dump everything into a plastic box.

I gave up on the red and chose 2 sets of silver hearts that have been around for a while.

I love these faceted pink opal disks I got from Rocky's Designs at The Whole Bead Show in NYC.

Then I decided to pair the Bali hearts with February's birthstone - amethyst.

Drum roll, please...

Guess what I found when I was all done???

That's right -
The red lampwork glass hearts!
They're dangling from hammered silvered rings that I soldered.

All of my earrings hang on my handcrafted earwires.

Yes, these will be listed on Etsy in time for Valentine's Day.
Please visit Sarajo's blog to see who else playing along!

  1. Ha-ha, sometimes, the perfect way to achieve something is to give up on it :) This is such a romantic love collection of earrings. The hammered silver rings add a great visual effect!

    1. That always happens to me! I usually create those silver rings in batches so I always have a few in stock.

  2. Great earrings for Valentine's Day and year round. Good luck with sales!

    1. Thanks Kathy! I'm hoping these challenges will enable to increase my inventory on Etsy.

  3. Lol. Isn't that always the way? Once you give up on something and move on, it magically appears! I'm glad that the lampwork hearts surfaced since I think those are my favorites (and I'm not even much of a heart girl normally). Those faceted pink opals are just delicious... and I like them paired with the little hearts. Thanks again for playing along with me!

    1. Thank you Sarajo! I have to make more silver rings - They're perfect for a quick pair of earrings. I'm partial to the pink opals myself!

  4. I'm glad you finally found the beads you were looking for! That always happens to me. You did beautiful work with them!

  5. These are so great; I can't choose a favorite among them! They all have such fun and different styles. What lovely work and designs.
